Two expansion projects in adjacent areas near Thorn Hill Road were granted approval by the Board of Supervisors at their May 7 meeting.
A conditional use application was granted for the second phase of the Heights at Thorn Hill. Previously, the second phase consisted of a three-story office building. However, following the success of the first phase, which included an office and distribution warehouse, developers requested a change in their plans to build a similar building for the second phase.
The 60,617 square foot building will also house office and warehouse space.
Across Thorn Hill Road, Cranberry Hill Partners were granted a conditional use application for a one story, 20,400 square foot addition to an existing office and warehouse at 230 Thorn Hill Road. The building houses Pella Windows & Doors and will allow for expansion of that business.
The two matters were approved following public hearings.
