Cranberry Township is committed to opening its recreational facilities, including the Waterpark and Camp Cranberry, as soon as state and federal guidelines permit.
However, since Butler County is still in the Yellow Phase, the Waterpark will not open as previously scheduled on May 23.
If Governor Tom Wolf declares Butler County can enter the Green Phase of the state’s reopening plan by June 15, the Township will move to prepare to open the Waterpark by July 1. This timeline will allow time to open the Waterpark for operation, as well as properly train staff.
Under the Green Phase, businesses will be allowed to re-open under CDC and state Department of Health guidelines. The most aggressive mitigation efforts will end at that time, too.
The Township’s recreational facility status is subject to change. As the situation evolves, more information will be released.
