Freedom Road: Two closures of Freedom Road are scheduled to occur from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. Both closures will be implemented to erect bridge modules as well as complete other contract work.

Pennsylvania Turnpike: Rolling closures are scheduled to occur eastbound at 11:55 p.m. Friday, October 30 until 5 a.m. Saturday, October 31 and westbound from 11:55 p.m. Saturday, October 31 until 4 a.m. Sunday, November 1.

In the event of inclement weather, the work will take place from Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8.

The detour eastbound on Freedom Road will have motorists turn right onto Commonwealth Drive to Thornhill Road, then go northbound on Route 19 to Freedom Road.

Motorists westbound on Freedom Road will turn right onto Executive Drive, turn right onto Cranberry Square Drive then go southbound onto Route 19 to Thornhill Road to Commonwealth Drive, back to Freedom Road.

Delays are anticipated, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. The Township will provide police assistance during these closures.

The overall project aims to replace the existing bridge over Interstate 76 with a two-span, six-lane bridge. The bridge will also have sidewalks.
