VOTING AT THE POLLS

ALL 89 PRECINCTS WILL BE OPEN FROM 7 A.M. TO 8 P.M. ON ELECTION DAY
For a list of precinct locations, click here https://www.butlercountypa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1982/Precincts-List?bidId=.  Please wear a mask to enter the polls.  Masks are provided and hand sanitizer is also available.  Voter clerks will be positioned behind Plexiglas table shields.   You will receive your own pen to be discarded or to take with you after you vote.  All voting stations are cleaned regularly.

CONDUCT
The Board of Elections expects all voters to conduct themselves appropriately and with respect for one another.  NO INTIMIDATION OR UNBECOMING CONDUCT WILL BE TOLERATED.  Please note that the Board of Elections and the District Attorney will address any threats or intimidation reported and actors may face prosecution.

POLLWATCHERS
You may notice an unusual number of poll watchers in the poll this election who will carry a certificate with a raised seal provided by the Bureau of Elections.  These individuals are there on behalf of parties and/or candidates.  In some cases, they may challenge eligibility; but may not come within 6 feet of your voting station and may not influence your vote in any way.  Only the local party chairperson and the candidates may submit requests for poll watcher certificates.

WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY
If there is a health emergency or some threat of imminent harm in or outside a polling place, call 9-1-1 immediately.  If necessary exit the building or leave the area if possible.

Votes cast at the polls will be reported as they come in on election night, usually between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.

Mail-in and absentee ballots will be counted beginning at 7 a.m. on Election Day and will continue until 11 p.m.  If they are not all counted by 11 p.m., counting will resume no later than 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday November 4th and continue until all mail ballots are counted, then posted toward the total. THE MAIL-IN BALLOT VOTE COUNTS WILL NOT BE POSTED UNTIL ALL THE MAIL-IN AND ABSENTEE COUNT IS COMPLETED.

Provisional and military ballots will be counted on or before Thursday and Friday, November 5th and 6th as will any ballots that arrive that are postmarked by 8 p.m. on election day, but arrive by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 6th.  The Computation Board will convene on Friday, November 6th, 2020 to review the provisional ballots, count write-ins and certify the vote counts.
