According to the state Department of Health, Pennsylvania has started to vaccinate against COVID-19 and is working to expand eligibility to more groups of people.
Supplies are extremely limited, leading to officials prioritizing who gets vaccinated first — starting with those most at risk of catching COVID and experiencing complications.
The Department of Health is expanding Phase 1a COVID-19 vaccination efforts to include anyone age 65 and older and those ages 16 to 64 with serious medical conditions that increase their risk for illness.
