Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors has authorized additional traffic studies to update plans to provide improved access in the Rt. 228 corridor. With the collapse of a costly and ambitious vision for moving traffic that followed Simon Properties’ withdrawal from its proposed multi-use development on the north side of the highway several years ago, a traffic Plan C needed to be developed. The newly authorized study would contemplate the impact of current and future development along the busy corridor in formulating that plan. The consulting fee for the study, $35,900, was approved at the Board’s December 16 meeting and awarded to URS Corporation.
