Cranberry Township will host a special free performance by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in its Community Park Rotary Amphitheatre starting at 7:00 on Friday evening, August 22. The PBT’s first-ever Cranberry appearance is part of the ensemble’s Summer Performance Series tour.
The program will feature two pieces created by Twyla Tharp, who is regarded as the nation’s premier choreographer. Raymonda Variations, a dance set to music by Alexander Glazounov and staged by PBT Artistic Director Terrence Orr, will also be featured.
The company’s performance is sponsored by the Township, the Butler County Convention and Tourism Bureau, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
