FirstEnergy will be performing routine vegetation maintenance on transmission lines in Cranberry over the next week.
The work will be performed by an air saw which will only be trimming in secluded areas and not near houses or across major roads. The air saw will be going through wooded areas that are at least 200 feet from houses.
This work will be performed in the areas of Graham Park, North Boundary Park, and Manor Road near the Rotary Dog Park. Major road crossings from east to west include Franklin Road, North Boundary Road, Marshall Road, Interstate 79, Route 19, Unionville Road, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and Powell Road.
All residents who have property on or bordering the power line have either received letters in the mail detailing the maintenance or received personal notifications.
