Following the completion of a rate study, Cranberry Township will soon implement new sewer and water rates.
With operation and maintenance costs increasing and planned capital projects for the water and sewer systems in the next several years the rate adjustments are necessary to ensure the Township can continue providing the highest quality service to residents and businesses.
The changes include a base-rate increase, along with a 0.63 cent increase per thousand gallon in water usage. Additionally, there will be a $1 increase per thousand gallons for sewer usage. The Board of Supervisors approved the changes during the June 30 meeting.
Cranberry Township continues to maintain some of the lowest water and sewer rates in the region while providing the high-quality service residents and businesses expect.
