At a public hearing of a proposal by ESB Bank to construct a new branch at the corner of Rochester Road and Graham Park Drive on January 27, the developer’s representative detailed a number of aesthetic features of the 2,794 square foot brick building and the planned streetscape improvements to its own lot and adjoining properties. Decorative streetlights, as well as wrought iron fencing and plantings are proposed to extend all the way up Rochester Road from Graham Park Drive to its intersection with Haine School Road. A masonry pedestrian pocket at the corner of Rochester and Graham Park Drive will display the bank’s name, and traffic circulation patterns with directional access and exit limits are also planned. At the close of the hearing, the Board of Supervisors voted to consider approval of the plan at its February 3 meeting.
