The Township’s water supply continues to be safe to use. The water supply is taken from the Ohio River upstream of the incident, which is about 33 miles away. The Township’s water provider, West View Water Authority, is also closely monitoring the situation.

Additionally, The Township’s water is regularly tested to meet regulatory compliance.

Monitoring air quality in the region is entrusted to external partners. For information on air quality, visit online sites like the National Weather Service and the EPA.

Norfolk Southern provided residents of the evacuation zone with a residential re-entry air monitoring program. To request air monitoring at their home, residents can call 330-849-3919.
