Cranberry Township knows that a safe cyclist is the happiest cyclist.
Studying the rules of the road and learning key bike safety skills is important for riders of all ages, which is why the Cranberry Township Police Department is hosting the return of their annual Bike Rodeo event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 2 in Community Park.
Riders will test their skills on an obstacle course designed to simulate biking on real roads, with educational pit-stops throughout the course. Police officers and volunteers will be onsite to teach safety tips, such as how to use hand signals while biking, as well as providing free helmet fittings and bike inspections.
Refreshments will be provided, along with giveaways, raffles, and more. The 2025 Bike Rodeo is presented by Cranberry Police and Cranberry EMS, along with community partners Cranberry Elks, AAA East Central, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Trek of Pittsburgh.
Pre-registration is not required but encouraged. For more information, contact Lt. William Ahlgren at 724-776-5180 ext. 1423.
