[ARCHIVED] Improvements flesh out Graham Park Master Plan

Two-year old Graham Park is undergoing a series of enhancements to improve its safety, convenience and maintenance, Parks & Recreation Director Mike Diehl told the Township’s Board of Supervisors at their June 30 meeting. The changes include a new 110-space parking area now under construction, immediately adjacent to Football Field A; an expansion of the material storage capacity associated with the park’s maintenance building site; a fishing pond and flagstone plaza adjacent to the Baseball Campus; trail benches which were built and placed by local Eagle Scout Joey Giancola; a new bench and table seating area next to Miracle League Field, increased equipment storage capacity for Miracle Field, extended foul ball netting around the Palomino and Pony league baseball fields; traffic signals at the Graham Park Drive intersection with Rochester Road; improvements to the park’s traffic circle; additional seating benches; and more. All of these changes, according to Diehl, are part of the park’s Master Plan Phase I development. A Phase II component of the plan, which applies to the southern end of the park, will be developed over the next several years, he said. For more information, contact Mike Diehl.
