If you want to spend state money, you have to publicly commit yourself to refraining from sexual harassment or discrimination. The Township’s new water pump station on Commonwealth Drive is being built, in part, with money received from a state H2O grant. But in order to use those funds, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors had to pledge adherence to the state’s requirement. So at its June 30 meeting, the Board approved a motion to amend its agreements with two companies awarded contracts to build the new station so that they would include a state-mandated clause regarding nondiscrimination and sexual harassment.
