Mondays and Fridays - Pilates30/Yoga30 11:30-12:30 (#9101) Free for members. Drop in rate for non-members. Just what it says - the best of both worlds!

Tuesdays – Yoga Nidra (4 week sessions) Tuesdays, 11:40-12:25 PM - $17/Non-res, $14/Res., $8.50/NR Group Fitness member, $7/Res. GF Member. This is an accessible meditation practice that cultivates multiple levels of well-being. It is a simple way to reduce stress and promotes deep rest and relaxation. This class is usually done in Savasana (Corpse) pose so dressing in layers and bringing blankets and/or pillows so you are comfortable is encouraged.

Wednesdays – Gentle Yoga 11:30-12:30 PM Free for GF Members Drop-in rate for non-members. This class is appropriate for all students seeking the benefits of a very relaxing, gentle, and nourishing practice.  The combination of gentle hatha and deep restorative work improves range of motion and joint mobility while reducing pain and the effects of stress. Students with injuries, arthritis, or other chronic conditions are welcome in these classes.  Practitioners with limitations related to age or size as well as students with a more vigorous yoga practice will benefit from this practice. No prior yoga experience required.

After Hours Yoga – (#8936)Mondays, 9/30 – 10/21 8:15-9:15 PM. Not into football? What could be better? Put the kids to bed and come to a Gentle candlelit Yoga class. Please bring a mat (we have a few extra). This class is appropriate for all students seeking the benefits of a very relaxing, gentle, and nourishing practice. The combination of gentle hatha and deep restorative work improves range of motion and joint mobility while reducing pain and the effects of stress. No prior yoga experience required. One week of each session will be foam rolling and stretching because everyone should know how to use one and do basic stretches. Chair Yoga (#9004) – Mondays 10/7-10/28 1:45-2:45 PM. New to Yoga or maybe you are working on posture, balance or recovering from an injury? This class is perfect for you. We will begin class in the chair and then progress to standing and even floor postures using the chair as a prop to assist with balance and/or posture; all while practicing mindful breathing techniques.  *This class will be offered free to Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit and Prime members - these are all insurance-based programs and you must have your card to register. Register in-person or on phone. Numbers will be checked.

Yoga Basics (#8975) – Mondays, 10/7—10/28, 12:45-1:45 PM or Tuesdays, 10/15-11/5 – 7:45-8:45 PM. Each week we will focus on a different aspect of your practice. Sun Salutations, Standing Postures, Floor Postures, Twists and Back Bends. Alignment and modification cues will be emphasized and props will be used. Please join us - any body can do Yoga! Please bring a mat - we do have a few extra!

Afternoon Yoga Flow (#9050) – Wednesdays, 10/2-10/23 12:45-1:45 PM. Vinyasa style flow class with an emphasis on modifications for those who may need them! With Amy Wilks

Cardio/Pilates Intervals (#8964) – Wednesdays, 10/2-10/23. Cardio intervals and Pilates are wonderful companions due to the way they complement and support each other. The first part of the class will focus on working the large global muscles with cardio and strength intervals while the second part will focus on increasing your flexibility and core strength with Pilates. Combining the two methods ensures a whole body focus.

Specialty Fitness Classes

Foam rolling and How to do it (#9001) – Tuesday. 10/24 7:45-8:45 PM (Additional sessions available). Do you have tight hamstrings? Maybe shoulder /neck or lower back pain? Do you have a foam roller at home that just sits in the corner? During this one hour session you will learn what Fascia is and why it is important to keep it hydrated by using this inexpensive piece of equipment. You will also learn how to use small balls to help alleviate pain in many areas. Please bring a foam roller - we do have a few extra. If you buy one, start with a smoother, softer surface! If you have an extra tennis (good) or lacrosse (better) ball, please bring that as well!

How to Survive a Group Barbell Class – (#8997) – Saturday, 10/5  No charge for group Fitness members. Do you feel that whatever you do, your body is just not the same as it used to be? Some of us can do cardio every day and still not see any weight loss and as we age, it seems like everything is shifting. Studies show that after a certain age the thing that will change your body the most is lifting weights. We go over proper form for all the exercises in the Group Barbell class. Without proper form, you won’t see the results you want and you may hurt yourself! You can ask questions and will get answers. You will be shown modifications if you can’t use the bar or you have a weak (insert body part here!). Even if you think you know what you are doing, it’s always nice to have someone gently point out some ways you could really improve your form. Poor form can exacerbate poor posture while proper form can enhance posture!

Pelvic Floor and More! (#8992) Monday, 10/28 8:15-915 PM or (#8994) Saturday, 10/20 -10:30-11:30 AM. Why should you care? Two words! Urinary Incontinence. That’s the big answer, but you will learn more than just the right way to do Kegels. We will learn why this group of muscles is so important and how to strengthen your core from the inside out!

Sunday Afternoon Yoga #(8997) – Sunday 10/20 1:15-2:45 PM $13/NR, $10/R, $6.50/NR GF Member, $5/GF Member (More times available). The alternative to Sunday football! During these 90 minute classes, you will have plenty of time to warm up the body for the invigorating vinyasa flows, mixed with longer holds, that will follow. Be prepared to sweat, but you are welcome to make the class as gentle or as challenging as you like. There will be lots of opportunity towards the end of class for floor postures, leading to your final Savasana. The classes are geared toward the Yogi who has a basic knowledge of Yoga, but all are welcome and modifications will be given. Please bring a mat and a water bottle. 

Saturday 9:30 Classes – 9/14 –(Zumba -  #8989), 9/21 ( Intervals - #8990), 9/28 (Yoga Flow - #8991) Free for members! The class changes weekly as the instructors rotate. Check the calendar online!

Get fit while having fun in our group fitness classes. Choose from a full menu of innovative and established 60, 45, and 30-minute exercise sessions, six days a week, all year long. There are no long-term contracts or membership fees and all classes on the monthly schedule are included with a monthly membership.  Join for a month or take a class- the choice is yours!

All classes are multi-level, designed for participants 18 and older (Ages 14-17, if accompanied by a legal guardian) ranging from beginner through advanced. Our instructors can offer guidance concerning program placement. Examples of classes featured in our program include: Boot Camp, Cardio Butts and Gutts, Fitness-Lite, Group Barbell, Zumba, Yoga, Cardio Core H.I.T., Pilates, and much more. We're always adding new classes. Once registered, you can participate in as many sessions as you choose.
